What tool can I use to manually shift the transfer case into the two-wheel drive position before I install the replacement motor?
- A crescent wrench can be used for this operation.
The Service 4WD light is on and/or the 4WD is inoperative. What could cause this condition?
- This may be caused by a transfer case control module calibration issue. Check for DTC's and calibration version − there may be a software update from the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
- If the motor attempts to shift, but sounds weak, check the front axle lock actuator. If the axle lock does not engage, the motor cannot complete its engagement.
